Davido Launches Social Media App After Failed Crypto Project

Davido, an Afrobeats singer, has established a social media app called ‘Chatter’.

The artist, a co-owner of the platform, unveiled the audiovisual app on Friday via his X page.

He acknowledged his enthusiasm for the project’s success and encouraged people to download the app.

“Chatter is now live in the App Store worldwide. Just 5 months ago, I revealed my role in this amazing platform, and today it’s finally here!” he wrote.

“Download now. Need an invite? Ask a friend on the app or reach out to @Chatter_US on X & Instagram. Let’s get busy.”

Chatter is an audiovisual platform majorly designed for creator and users willing to connect with others.

“Chatter is the true social audiovisual utility platform designed to amplify your voice and connect you with a vibrant community,” the description reads.

“Whether you’re a content creator, business, or simply someone looking to connect, Chatter is your go-to platform for building meaningful connections and engaging with a global audience.”

The platform follows the debut of $Davido, a digital token created by the musician in collaboration with Phantom and Solana.

In late May, the coin swiftly gained popularity and even returned returns to early investors.

However, rumors circulated that it crashed shortly after its release, with many people accusing the singer of a hoax.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) cautioned against investing in Davido’s meme coin, citing its high risk.
