Pelumi Nubi, a Nigerian travel content creator going from London to Lagos, says she intends to continue the adventure despite surviving a car accident.
On Tuesday, Nubi revealed that she was involved in an automobile accident.
She also posted a photo of the now-wrecked automobile she had driven on the trip.
The front of the car was severely twisted, and the windscreen was smashed.
She captioned the photo, “Say a prayer for me”.
On Wednesday, Nubi posted on Instagram that she “miraculously survived” an accident.
She stated that she will be “taking things easy” for the time being and will resume her journey once her strength has returned.
“God has really shown His mercy. Miraculously, I emerged unharmed from the accident – I survived,” she said.
“A big thank you for all your love, prayers, and good thoughts! It’s crystal clear to me that I have a family here online, rooting for me every step of the way.
“I am taking it easy for now, but I’m definitely going to keep going. The journey is far from over, and with renewed strength and your unwavering support, I will continue to move forward.”
Nubi traveled in a purple Peugeot 107. The car was customized with features that allowed for sleeping and dining.
It is unclear, however, where country she was in at the time of the accident and what caused the incident.
Nubi declared in November that she will be traveling solo from London to Lagos.
She started the trip on January 30.
Pelumi initially stated that she would arrive in Lagos on March 23.
However, she stated that the date had been rescheduled owing to border complications she was encountering in several countries.
She recently revealed that she was denied admission at the Sierra Leone and Liberian borders.
