Femi Jacobs is a Nigerian singer, speaker, and actor. He rose to prominence for his role as Makinde Esho in the film The Meeting. For his performance in The Meeting, he was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the 9th Africa Movie Academy Awards.
Early Life & Education
Femi Jacobs was born on the 8th of May, in the mid 1980s, in Lagos State, Nigeria’s southwestern region. He was raised in Osun State. He completed his secondary education at Fakunle Comprehensive High School in Osogbo, Osun State. Femi Jacobs continued his education at Lagos State University, where he majored in mass communication.
Career
Because of his poor upbringing, Femi Jacobs left home at the tender age of 11 to face his struggle. He began his career as an office assistant in a church in Lagos State. He discovered his musical talent while working at the church. Following that, Femi Jacob began learning to play the piano and was later hired as a music director.
He later released three albums. When he was in church, he was asked to participate in a church group’s religious productions. Producers eventually noticed his acting talent. As a result, he began working in the film industry and was cast in the film The Meeting as Makinde Esho. This film featured well-known actors such as Jide Kosoko and Rita Dominic. For his role as Makinde, Jacobs was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the 9th Africa Movie Academy Awards.
