Fuji Icon, Saheed Osupa, Graduates With Second Class Upper From UI

King Saheed Osupa, the iconic Fuji musician, has graduated with a second-class upper degree from the Political Science department at the University of Ibadan in Oyo State.

On Wednesday, the iconic musician turned to his official Instagram page to commemorate his latest milestone.

Saheed said that he graduated from the political science department with a second-class upper honor.

“It is official! Today, I attended the Convocation Ceremony of the University Of Ibadan, where I graduated from the Department of Political Science with Second Class Upper Credit,” he wrote.

“The public should be aware that, King (Dr.) Saheed Osupa Akorede is a graduate of the prestigious University Of Ibadan, Class ’21 Alhamdulilahi”.

Saheed rose to prominence with the publication of his debut album, ‘Fuji Fa Disco,’ in 1987.

Since then, he has recorded over 40 studio albums, including ‘Mr. Music,’ a four-in-one studio CD that solidified his status as a Fuji music icon.

The Fuji symbol established the Hip Fuji genre. In 2018, he launched his debut Hip Fuji album, ‘Non Stop’.

Saheed has also appeared in Nollywood films including as ‘Olukoti,’ ‘Apala,’ and ‘Olokiki Oru: The Midnight Sensation’.
