Alex Iwobi, a Super Eagles player, claims that Wizkid, an Afrobeats singer, gave him love even when he was unknown.
The player spoke about Wizkid in an interview with Oma Sports TV.
He claims that even before they were acquainted, the singer showed him love.
He went on to say that Wizkid is someone he greatly admires.
“Wizkid’s show at Tottenham stadium is my favourite Nigerian show, I really enjoyed myself. I did not get to meet him that day. But I have met him previous times and he is a very nice and very humble guy,” he said.
“The first time I met him, he showed me love when he first met me even though he did not know who I was at the time.
“I have seen him in stores and even in the club as well, and he has always shown me so much love. He is someone that I really respect.”
Iwobi began his professional career at Arsenal, where he polished his skills and established himself as a competitive player.
He currently plays for Fulham in the Premier League and for Nigeria’s national side, the Super Eagles.
Wizkid, on the other hand, has firmly established himself as one of the most recognized names in African music, with a bevy of honors and accolades to his name.
