Eniola Olanrewaju, a Nigerian model and YouTube content creator better known by her stage name Korty EO, claims that threats were made against her after the airing of a lesbian episode of her program “Love or Lies.”
The lesbian episode of the show, which was suggested by a subscriber who identified as LGBTQ+, debuted on August 6 by the content producer.
Korty EO said in a recent episode of the Tea with Tay podcast that she received threats for a week after the show’s premiere.
The 25-year-old continued, “I should be allowed to live my life as I please as long as my actions are not directly offensive to other people.”
“People were sending me threats for a whole week straight. That they will find police for me. I mean, I feel like I don’t think you should dictate to anybody how they should live their life,” she said.
“If I choose to go out, as long as I’m not directly offending you, as long as I’m not putting a gun to your head. It’s not your business. I mean you don’t have problems. You shouldn’t carry it on your head.”
Korty EO began her career as a model in 2017 after signing with Few Models.
She has walked the runway for Lagos fashion and design week, GTCO fashion weekend and Lisa Folawiyo’s SS18 Kwenu collection.
Korty EO started creating content on YouTube in 2019 and has gained over 247,000 subscribers to date.
She has two main shows on YouTube — ‘Flow with Korty’ and ‘Love or Lies’.
