I’ve Prepared My Grammy Outfit and Acceptance Speech – Ayra Starr

Nigerian artist Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, known as Ayra Starr, has prepared an acceptance speech for the 2024 Grammy Awards.

Ayra Starr is one of the Nigerian music stars nominated for important global awards.

The Recording Academy, which organizes the Grammy Awards, said in June that the ‘Best African Music Performance‘ category would be featured in the 2024 edition.

This move marks the first time in the awards’ history that a category would be explicitly dedicated to African music.

Ayra Starr, who made her award debut with her smash single ‘Rush’ in 2022, is competing in the African category with Olamide and Asake, among others.

Ayra mentioned on Cool FM that she has “prepared my outfit and practised my walk” for the next award event.

The singer stated that if she wins the prize, she intends to eat at a Chinese restaurant and then contact her mother.

“I’d like to go to this Chinese restaurant. I am a foodie. Once I win, I’m just going to eat. I am just going to eat. Sit down nicely. Breathe in and out, then eat. “The video calls my mother,” she explained.

“I have already finished my speech. I have finished everything. The speech is really long. This is the first African category. It is rather long. I have already completed my task and clothes. I’ve already practised everything. Even if I do not win this year, I have prepared a speech for next year.”

Starr rose to stardom in 2021 after releasing ‘Bloody Samaritan’, a tune off her debut album ’19 & Dangerous’.

In February, the singer shared how her conviction in God helped her music career through the Mavin Records deal.
