Lady Ruth Evicted as Six Contestants Vie to Become Nigerian Idol

Lady Ruth, a contestant of the 2024 Nigerian Idol talent hunt reality television show, has been evicted from the music contest.

Ruth previously made it to the top 10 but her time on the show ended on Sunday.

Before her eviction, the singer performed ‘My All’ by Mariah Carey, Tems’ ‘Try Me’, ‘Drunk In Love’ by Beyonce, and ‘You Say’ by Lauren Daigle.

The remaining six contestants are Chima, Lammy, Stevie, Maio, Mira Clear, and Chioma.

Before Sunday’s eviction, Chima impressed the audience with his performance of Lionel Richie’s ‘Hello’, while Chioma delivered an exhilarating rendition of ‘Way Maker’ by Sinach.

Lammy gave a captivating performance of Michael Jackson’s ‘Speechless’, while Stevie performed ‘I Want It That Way’ by Backstreet Boys.

Maio wowed the audience with his rendition of ‘Papa’ by Johnny Drille, while Mira Clear showcased her vocal skills with ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ by Marvin Gaye.

The 2024 edition, hosted by IK Osakioduwa, premiered in April with 9ice, Omawumi, and Ric Hassani as judges.
