Liz Da-Silva (born June 10, 1978) is a well-known and talented Nollywood actress from Nigeria. Elizabeth Omowunmi Tekovi Da-Silva is her full name. She mostly appears in Yoruba films. Da-Silva won Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the 2018 Best of Nollywood Awards after being nominated for Best Supporting Actress of the Year (Yoruba) at the 2016 City People Entertainment Awards.
Early Life & Education
Liz Da-Silva was born on June 10, 1978, in Lagos State, Nigeria, in the South-Western region. He is from Togo because her mother is from there. Liz Da-Silva received all of her education in Lagos State, including primary school, secondary school, and higher education. She attended Ireti Grammar School for her secondary education. She continued her education at Lagos State University, where she earned her B.Sc.
Career
Da-Silva began her acting career while still in secondary school. She used to act in school plays back then. She made her film debut in the Yoruba film industry in 2004 with the assistance of a well-known actress, Iyabo Ojo. Da-acting Silva’s career took off after she appeared in two films, the first of which was Wakati Meta by Wale Lawal and the second was Omidan by Iyabo Ojo. Mama Insurance, a film starring Ayo Mogaji, Lanre Hassan, Iyabo Ojo, Ronke Ojo, and Doris Simeon, was released in 2012, and Da-Silva made her film-producing debut. Liz Da-Silva credited Bukky Wright with influencing her acting abilities and citing her as a role model in the Nigerian Yoruba film industry.
