May Filed for Divorce But Refused to Return Bride Price – Actor, Yul Edochie

The contentious Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has persisted in his online argument with his first wife May on her reflection post from 2023.

May stated that 2023 brought with it “too many adversities and misfortunes” in a post greeting the new year. It “dealt with me in the most catastrophic ways,” she continued.

The saddest part of the event, according to her, was that in March 2023 “stole my own flesh and blood,” possibly referring to the passing of Kambirichukwu, her first child with Yul.

May disclosed that she was in an extremely distressing, depressing, and bewildered state as a result of the loss.

Yul responded to her article by accusing May of undergoing breast augmentation surgery without his permission that same year.

In addition, the actor warned his ex-wife not to use social media to sway public opinion against him.

Wednesday, Yul added in a follow-up post that his divorced wife “filed for divorce but refused to return the bride price.”

“You have filed for divorce. Yet you refuse to drop my name. Return the bride price I paid you, & your family refused,” he wrote.

“I have asked for the return of the bride price a couple of times, you people vehemently refused. I don’t understand why.”

When Yul revealed in April 2022 that he had wed actress Judy Austin Moghalu as his second wife, it caused turmoil in his household. In addition, he revealed their first child together.

Kambilichukwu died in March of last year following a seizure he had while playing football for his school.
