Nigerian Lady Driving from London to Arrive in Lagos on March 23

Pelumi Nubi, a Nigerian travel content creator, plans to arrive in Lagos on March 23 after driving for over two months from London.

In November, Nubi planned a solo travel from London to Lagos.

She began the journey in a car on January 30.

On Wednesday, a Nigerian blogger based in the UK posted on Instagram that she will arrive in Lagos in 10 days.

Nubi announced that her homecoming will take place on March 23 at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

“10 days until I arrive in Lagos! I can hardly believe this,” she said.

“It feels like just yesterday that I embarked on this journey for a solo drive from London to Lagos. The support l have received has been truly overwhelming!

“I am thrilled to announce that my homecoming will take place at the University of Lagos. It is a full circle moment to inspire the next generation with my favorite motto: START YOUR JOURNEY.

“Bring a friend, family members, or loved ones! Save the date: March 23rd! Your girl will be home!”

In another post via her Instastory, Nubi said she is about to cross another border from Gambia.

“I am just about to cross yet another border but the influx of love I received after announcing that I’m so close to home as got me teary,” she said.

“Thank you so much for cheering me on on this journey. Thank you for being part of this adventure.”

Nubi is taking the trip in a Peugeot 107. The truck has been customized with amenities that will allow for sleeping and dining.

The development came nearly two years after Kunle Adeyanju, the Nigerian tourist, rode his bike from London to Lagos.
