Rachel Edwards, a former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) contestant, has advised girls not to settle for a man earning N800,000 per month.
Rachel argued on X that N800,000 is insufficient for a wig, prompting her advise.
“As a lady, you cant settle for a man with 800k as salary in lagos. One wig and your man’s salary is finished baby girl,” she wrote.

Her message has continued to spark a firestorm of debate on social media.
Rachel rose to prominence after appearing on the seventh season of the reality television show Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) in 2022.
She was added to the season as a “rider,” or agent of Biggie, the show’s teaching voice, rather than a participant.
Her time on the show was filled with drama, including a disagreement with Diana, a fellow housemate, over Giddyfia, their love interest.
Giddyfia, who was evicted before Rachel, admitted in a post-show interview that he felt responsible for escalating the conflict between the girls.
“It was actually my business that was causing that wahala,” he said.
“I tried not to pay so much attention to it because I did not want any bad vibes around me at that time, and because I was really pissed at Diana. But if I had told her how I really felt that night, it wouldn’t have escalated.”
Rachel’s journey in BBNaija, however, ended about two days before the season’s grand finale.
