On May 28, 1994, Paul Onuachu was born in Owerri, Imo State, one of the states in Nigeria’s South-Eastern geopolitical zone.

Career

Professional Career

In 2012, Onuachu signed a deal to play for Danish club FC Midtjylland after leaving their Nigerian affiliate team, Ebedei. For their young squad, he scored frequently. Later that year, he made his Cup debut with the first team. He entered the league in December 2012.

In June 2013, Paul Onuachu and the team came to an agreement on a brand-new three-year contract. In August 2015, he then extended it for an additional three years. He spent the first part of 2015 on loan at Vejle BK before coming back to FC Midtjylland for the 2015–16 season. In August 2019, he joined Belgian team Genk.

International Career

Onuachu was called up to the Nigeria under-23 national team in February 2015. In March 2019, he received his initial call-up to the Nigerian senior team. Onuachu’s first goal for Nigeria came against Egypt on March 26, 2019, in a friendly match.

Within the first ten seconds of the game, Nigeria scored the fastest goal in team history. He was selected to play for Nigeria at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. He participated in Nigeria’s 1-0 triumph over Burundi.
