Police React to Tiwa Savage’s Petition Against Davido

The Lagos State Police Command has opened an investigation into claims that Tiwa Savage intimidated Davido and made threats against his life.

African musicians Tiwa Savage and Davido are two of the most well-known.

However, Savage filed a case on Tuesday, describing what she believed to be harassment when she spoke with Davido’s ex-girlfriend, Sophia Momodu.

The petition claims that on December 23, Savage included Momodu in an Instagram story post, which sparked the conflict.

After what appeared to be a reaction to the tweet, Davido was accused of verbally abusing Savage and making threatening with physical force.

Savage’s worries about her safety are further expressed in the petition, which also asks the police to hold Davido responsible if she or her family suffer any damage.

The police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, said on Wednesday that the petition had been received.

He added that an investigation has begun.

“I can confirm to you that we have received the petition and investigation has commenced,” Hundeyin said.

Before the petition, TeeBillz, Savage’s ex-husband took to social media to call out Davido for allegedly disrespecting his family.

Although Davido has been very active on social media, the singer has remained reticent on the allegations.

On Tuesday, he teased a new song in a recent tweet on X.

“I just recorded the hardest verse EVER !!!!!” the tweet reads.
