Provide Mmesoma’s Paper for External Body to Remark – Charly Boy to JAMB

Charly Boy, the Nigerian singer, has called for an external investigation into the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result of Ejikeme Mmesoma, the Anambra pupil.

Since the release of the 2023 UTME results, Mmesoma, a student of Anglican Girls Secondary School in Nnewi, has been attracting accolades from many Nigerians for allegedly being “the top scorer”.

JAMB, however, alleged that she manipulated her result to “deceive the public to fraudulently obtain a scholarship and other recognitions”.

In a statement on Sunday, the exam body said the student “actually got 249 in the exam and not 362”.

JAMB also suspended the student from taking part in the UTME for the next three years over the incident.

But in a video on Monday, Mmesoma dismissed the forgery allegation against her. The student also insisted that she printed her result from the JAMB portal.

Sharing his opinion on the saga, Charly Boy suggested that the student’s paper be made available for remark by an external body.

“JAMB must produce her paper for external body to remark. I do not trust the mark they claim they awarded her right now,” he wrote on Twitter.

“JAMB has ended up making the young girl popular, and the girl in the other hand exposed JAMB corruption and ineptitude just like INEC.”

The singer, however, did not provide details on the external body he is suggesting to investigate the matter.
