Rema, Asake, and Nicki Minaj are among the headliners for the 2024 Afro Nation event, which will be held from June 26 to 28 in Algarve Portimao, Portugal.
On Monday, the organizers announced the three music stars, as well as a roster of prominent artists who would perform at the event, in a post on X.
The organisers wrote, “#ANP2024 phase 2 is here!! 🇵🇹🎶 The Queen of Rap, @Nickiminaj will turn Portimão, Pink with an amazing performance!! 🎀 💗.”
The lineup features Omah Lay, Flavour, Odumodublvck, Seyi Vibez, Tyla, J Hus, Diamond Platnumz, The Composerz, and Tyler ICU amongst others .
Afro Nation, an annual celebration of Africans in the diaspora, is among the world’s largest music concerts.
Last year, the organizers postponed the inaugural Nigeria performance slated for Tafawa Balewa Square on December 19 and 20, citing the inability to deliver a spectacle of the necessary level.
However, the organiser did not disclose any information regarding the cancellation.
They wrote, “As disappointed as we are that we won’t be coming to Lagos this year, we want our homecoming show to be up to the standards you deserve. We’ll be back soon, bigger and better!”
