Many businesses and individual internet users are concerned about which Internet service provider (ISP) to select.

An Internet Service Provider is a corporation that offers Internet access and services to people and businesses.

Dotmac Technologies Limited is one of Nigeria’s leading Internet Service Providers. Dotmac Technologies, based in Abuja, provides broadband internet via Fiber to the Home Technology. Galaxy Backbone Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Federal Government of Nigeria that provides information and communications technology (ICT) services. Galaxy Backbone’s common services platform is still being operated, improved, and upgraded to meet international standards.

When GBB first began operations in 2006, its primary goal was to assist minimize and eventually eliminate the silos that existed in government as a result of the various and costly method in which technology operations were supplied across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies. In addition, the company was tasked with developing a single services platform comprised of in-country and offshore VSAT hubs, a data center, a Federal Capital metro fiber backbone, and several redundant internet gateways.
