This Entrepreneur is Earning Millions in the Trucking Industry Without a High School Diploma

Kierra Henderson, the founder of The Trucking Guru, is an African-American trucking entrepreneur. With no high school graduation, the mother of three was driven into trucking by her father and has since’steered’ the company to success.

She pushed herself by starting her business from scratch despite her lack of experience and skills. Kierra was also motivated by her “do or die” attitude. Henderson has secured large contracts for over 15 years, including a 45% deal in the oil and gas industry.

She began as a dispatcher and worked her way up to the position of fleet manager. When that job abruptly ended, she began working independently as a home-based dispatcher for owner operators with whom she had formed ties.

Today, she owns over 140 trucks, dispatchers, and a brokerage firm. What is more, she has signed contract deals surpassing a value of $100 million. “I evolved to a fleet owner and now teach thousands of students around the world to become self-sufficient and leverage a recession-proof industry that fuels the economy in more ways than one,” she added.

According to AP, “Trucking in the United States remains a highly competitive, challenging, and equally lucrative business. It is a main contributor to the country’s GDP, employing around 950000 truck drivers.” Though finding the way to success in the industry has not been easy, for Kierra, it became “a game and a matter of survival.” She remained determined and persistent and is now focused on sharing her success story to inspire others.

Finding success, however, was not easy for Kierra, who faced numerous challenges, including financial issues, caring for her parents and children while running the business – her passion to transform the lives of others has been her driving force.

Kierra is not keeping her success to herself; she currently teaches industry aspirants about the different ways to succeed. In 2019, she started “The Trucking Millionaires Tour” to inspire other entrepreneurs about the job.
