The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) officially launched its recruitment portal on Friday for new tax officers across Nigeria, following its October announcement to hire Tax Officers I and Tax Officers.
The application portal will open on November 2, 2024, at 12:00 am.
This recruitment drive, focused on building Nigeria’s tax workforce, will target candidates across eight states: Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Ekiti, Lagos, and Oyo.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify, applicants must meet these criteria:
- Age: Candidates must be 27 years or younger by December 31, 2024.
- NYSC Completion: Applicants must have completed National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) by December 31, 2021.
- Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree or HND in fields such as Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Law, Mathematics, and other relevant disciplines. First Class or Second Class Upper Division is required, while a master’s degree or professional qualifications (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is an advantage.
