UTME: Enugu University Offers Scholarship to Boy Who Scored 99/100 in Maths

Lotanna Azuokeke, a 15-year-old student who scored 337 out of 400 in the 2023 UTME, has been awarded a scholarship to study at Godfrey Okoye University in Enugu state.

Christian Anieke, the institution’s vice-chancellor, announced the scholarship while pushing students to strive for excellence.

Anieke stated that if the offer is accepted, the youngster will be admitted to the college’s College of Medicine.

Azuokeke, a student at Bishop Otubelu Juniorate in Trans Ekulu, Enugu state, has gone viral after his UTME results were leaked online.

Chiwuike Uba, the school’s media adviser, previously reported that the adolescent applied to study engineering at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).

Uba stated that Azokeke received 99 points in mathematics, 88 points in chemistry, 86 points in physics, and 64 points in English.

“Azụokeke broke the record set by Chidera Obi who scored 329 marks to emerge overall best, five years ago,” he had said.

“Report shows that Azuokeke applied to study electrical/electronic engineering at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).

“The school recorded 100 percent success in the last Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE); three students came out with 11As each.

“We are proud of the success we have attained so far. Our JAMB results are simply wonderful, our WASSCE and NECO results are not bad also.”
