Ayra Starr, the Afrobeats artist, performed two hits from her freshly released album on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
The diva dazzled the audience on Tuesday’s episode of the show, dressed in a golden ensemble with her typical tiny skirt.
Starr opened the event with a medley of ‘Last Heartbreak Song’, showing her incredible voice. The song, originally performed by American vocalist Giveon, set the tone for a memorable performance. She then performed an intense rendition of ‘Woman Commando’, supported by dancers on stage.
Both tunes are from her latest album, ‘The Year I Turned 21’, which was released on May 31.
This was her debut appearance on American television.
Starr, born Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, became a viral celebrity after releasing the popular music ‘Bloody Samaritan’ in 2021.
The vocalist rose to prominence in the industry while signed to Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records label.
With countless prizes and accolades, Starr has emerged as one of the continent’s most promising artists.
She was one of the Nigerian music singers nominated for this year’s Grammy Awards.
Her hit song ‘Rush’ earned her a first-time nomination for ‘Best African Music Performance’.
The music star lost to Tyla, a South African vocalist.
