Jaan Roose, an Estonian slackliner and Guinness World Record holder, walked on a rope from Sterling Towers to Onome rig, Marina in Lagos on Thursday.
Roose is seen deftly gliding between the bridge and train tracks while hung on a rope in a now-viral video.
A drone is also spotted filming his every move as Lagosians look on in awe.
Walking along a rope or a small length of strong fabric stretched above the ground between two locations, less tightly than a tightrope, is known as slacklining.
Gboyega Akosile, the chief press secretary to Lagos state governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, stated in a statement that Roose was invited for a project in collaboration with the state’s safety commission.
“This is Estonia Slacklining world champion, Jaan Roose, known for possessing nerves of steel. The Estonian slackliner is a 3-time world champion and the holder of numerous world records,” the statement reads.
“He is in Lagos, Nigeria for the Red Bull-sponsored #PerfectLagosSelfie, in partnership with the Lagos State Safety Commission.
“Lagos has been the center of attractions in the past couple of years and global brands are lining up for a piece of the city.
“This is Lagos, a global city administered by a forward-looking Government headed by Governor @jidesanwoolu.”
Roose recently walked the world’s longest single-building slackline across Katara Towers, a landmark in Qatar.
The three-time world champion has now completed the world’s longest single-building slackline.
