The film ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ grossed more than ₦1.4 billion at the box office, selling over 374,000 tickets.
As of February 16, the Funke Akindele-produced comedy-drama had sold 374,542 tickets, generating ₦1,404,187,806.
ATCJ, which opens in theaters on December 15, stars Funke Akindele, Timini Egbuson, Jide Kene Achufusi, Uzee Usman, Tobi Makinde Olumide Oworu, Genoveva Umeh, Nse Ikpe Etim, Juliana Olayode, Uzor Arukwe, Fathia Balogun, Yvonne Jegede, and many others.
It portrays the narrative of Jedidah Judah (played by Funke Akindele), a single woman with five sons from various dads and tribal backgrounds.
The first two sons are responsible and do their best to work and assist their mother, while the remaining three are less helpful.
One son, Pere (played by Timini Egbuson), is a serial pickpocket. Tobi Makinde’s character, Shina, is a tout in the neighborhood. The final character, Ejiro (Olumide Oworu), is mischievous and only cares about his girlfriend, Testimony (Geneva Umeh).
Regardless of their poor behavior, Jedidah continues to support them and keep them out of danger.

The film producer’s ‘Omo Ghetto: The Saga’ is the third highest-grossing picture, earning ₦636,129,120.
