The Super Eagles announced on Tuesday that nice forward Terem Moffi has been called up for the Africa Cup of Nations, which begins next weekend, in lieu of the injured Victor Boniface.
Due to a groin injury, Boniface of Bayer Leverkusen was forced to miss the competition in the Ivory Coast from January 13 to February 11.

Despite having six goals for Nice since the beginning of the season, Moffi had not been included in coach Jose Peseiro’s squad when he made his debut for his country in June 2021, despite scoring four goals in 14 games.
The 24-year-old will play alongside Napoli star Victor Osimhen in his debut Africa Cup of Nations match.
Nigeria’s opponents on January 14 in Abidjan are Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, and the hosts, Ivory Coast. These teams make up Group A.
