Aliko Dangote Names 120km Refinery Road After Herbert Wigwe

Aliko Dangote, a billionaire industrialist, has dedicated the 120-kilometer road connecting to his refinery in Lagos after the late Herbert Wigwe in honor of his outstanding contributions to the project.

The news was made on Monday during a special event called ‘Celebrating Herbert Wigwe – A Professional Legacy’ at the Eko Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria.

Dangote paid tribute to Wigwe, the former CEO of Access Holdings, stressing his dedication and skill.

“To immoratalise my beloved friend, my brother and mentee, I’ve actually decided to name our major refinery and petrochemical road out of the 120km road, the biggest road will now be named Herbert Wigwe.” Dangote said.

On February 9, Wigwe, his wife Doreen, son Chizi, and former Group Chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group, Abimbola Ogunbanjo, were killed in a helicopter crash at a border town between California and Nevada in the United States.
