The full name of Tee-Y is Temitayo Ibitoye. He is a veteran Nigerian music producer and sound engineer. He has produced music for prominent Nigerian singers, such as Chidinma, Iyanya, Sheyi Shay, and so on.
Early Life & Education
Tee-Y Mix was born on August 22nd, in the late 1980s, in Oyo State. He was born and raised in Oyo state, where he also attended primary and secondary school. He graduated from the University of Abuja with a degree in computer science. Tee-Y Mix continued his education at the Audio Institute of America, where he earned a diploma in audio recording engineering.
Career
Tee-Y Mix appeared in 2008 as one of three judges on the reality TV music competition series Project Fame West Africa. Tee-Y Mix, Adé Bantu, and Bibie Brew judged the singing abilities of hundreds of novice contestants. Tee-Y Mix was praised for being a sensitive and empathetic judge. During the first season of Access the Stars, a music TV reality show, he served as a judge. Tee-Y Mix founded his record label, Vivace Records, in 2014.
