Early Life
Ugochi Lydia Onuoha, better known as Guchi, is a rising Nigerian musician, singer, and songwriter who was born in Kaduna State on November 5th, 1997.
Ugochi was born in Kaduna State, a state in northern Nigeria, but she was raised in Abuja and Lagos.
She is originally from Imo State, a state in Nigeria’s south-east. An Igbo by tribe, a Southerner by region, a Christian by faith, and a Nigerian by nationality.
Guchi received her elementary and secondary school education in Abuja and Lagos, in that order. Ugochi Onuoha did not complete her four-year degree program at Edo State University, Ekpoma. She went on to study at the University of Lagos, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre and Media Arts.
Early Career
Ugochi Onuoha, who began singing at the age of seven when she joined the choir as a chorister at the local church she attended at the time, is now signed to PG Records Entertainment.
Ugochi gained the attention of her current record label after her first song, Addicted, which later became a hit jam, earned over 900,000 views on her self-titled Youtube channel about a year ago.
With her current growth, it is only fair to say that Onuoha is the best new thing in Nigerian entertainment, particularly the music industry.
