Early Life and Education
Jibola Toriola, better known as Jhybo, was born on January 21, 1989, in Lagos, Nigeria. He is from Ogun State, Nigeria. He attended Holy Cross Primary School and Boys Academy for his secondary education. Jhybo went on to study mass communication at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Jhybo discovered his musical talent at the age of ten. He was a young talent at the time, and he displayed it on the streets of Lagos, rapping and singing in Yoruba with a touch of English.
The most popular and well-known sayings and chants are “Be naa ni,” which means “it really is just the way it is,” and “limolaligama lagoboyo lebosh,” which means “spiritual calling.”
Jhybo rose to prominence in 2010 after signing with Bay Production, thanks to the widely popular song “Ejo le fe ro (Run Their Mouth),” which featured Cynthia Morgan, the rave of the time.
Jhybo went solo shortly after releasing the popular track in 2011, taking full responsibility for all of the projects he had already released. He founded his own record label, Lima Sound (Living In Movement Always), in 2014, putting an end to speculation that he had left Bay Production. He traveled from location to location on his own to demonstrate his artistic abilities.
His marital status is unknown to the general public. However, it is known that he is single.
