Early Life

Kelvin Boj was born in Lagos on July 21st, in the late 1980s. He is from Delta State, which is in Nigeria’s South-South region. He completed his primary and secondary schooling in Lagos State. Kelvin Boj continued his studies in pure physics at the University of Lagos (Unilag), where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree.

Career

Kelvin Boj grew up in a musically inclined household, which instilled in him a love of music. He began writing music lyrics as a child after being inspired by late prominent singers such as Feka Anikulapo, Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, and others.

Kelvin Boj’s nickname when he first entered the music industry was LayLow. In his early years, he made beats for musicians such as Konga, Dagrin, Morachi, Remi Aluko, Erigga, Skiibii, and Brymo. Kelvin Boj collaborated with Morachi on the song “Hapuya Like Dat,” which helped launch his producer career in 2006.

Kelvin Boj decided to rebrand in 2015 and adopted the stage name Kelvin Boj. He became a well-known musician on a global scale after releasing the song Olosho. The song featured Ferry Wap. Over the years, he has collaborated with artists such as Davido, Olamide, Tekno, Yung6ix, Patoranking, Vector, Phyno, Lil Kesh, and Spellz.

He has also worked with artists from other countries, such as Gucci Mane, Wale, Dej Loaf, and Yung Mal. In 2020, he will release Man On A Mission. The album has fifteen tracks, eleven of which were written by Kelvin Boj.

Personal Life

Ifeoma Okosi-Bojeghre is Kelvin Boj’s wife’s name. In late 2018, the couple welcomed twins shortly after their marriage.
