Marital Life
After a long period without a male in her life, Lizzy married Lateef Adegboyega Lawal, a Muslim acquaintance with whom she has been acquaintances for 14 years, on July 16, 2020. After years of denial, Lizzy ultimately said yes to Lawal, and the two married on July 16, 2020. They held a simple and private wedding to keep the world out of their private lives. On May 1, 2021, she and her husband received a new child in a hospital in Miami, Florida.
Controversy
Lizzy Anjorin Vs Toyin Abraham
In September 2019, Lizzy Anjorin had a social media feud with Toyin Abraham. Toyin Abraham was accused of fraudulently accusing her of cocaine trafficking, resulting in an airport search, and of having her baby at a traditional healer’s residence rather than a hospital and keeping it. Anjorin accused Toyin Abraham of using cocaine herself, and she demanded that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency test them both for drugs. The feud was put to rest by Bolaji Amusan, president of the Nigerian Theatre Arts and Movie Practitioners Association.
Marriage Controversy
Lizzy’s husband, Lateef, has been accused of abandoning his wives in order to be with the actress. According to rumors, he is a Muslim with five wives. Anjorin has received a lot of backlash on social media as a result of these words, and many have labeled her a spouse snatcher.
On July 19, 2020, Lizzy rejected these rumors on her Instagram page, stating that her husband has no other legal wife and lacks the bravery to have married up to four women. She also stated that they are aware of the bigamy laws and the consequences of breaking them. Anjorin justified herself by saying she’d known her husband for 14 years before marrying him. She concluded by alleging that her adversaries were seeking to tarnish her reputation.
