Korede Bello, a Nigerian singer, has stated that he will not discuss his agony on social media.
The musician was responding to a fan who questioned about his well-being following the death of another singer, Mohbad.
Mohbad, real name Ilerioluwa Aloba, died on September 12 and was buried the next day.
The circumstances surrounding the 27-year-old’s death have sparked debate on social media.
Mohbad had a tense relationship with his former record label head, Naira Marley, before to his death.
In response to an inquiring fan on X, Bello stated that he is fine but would not share his agony online so that it is not “consumed as entertainment.”
“I am well, but even if I am not, I will not be on the Internet talking about it because I wouldn’t want people to consume my pain as entertainment.
Beauty & Bliss, Thank you,” he wrote.

In a follow-up post, Bello revealed that it is difficult to “stay sane and clean in the music industry”.
“People don’t understand how hard it is to stay sane in a seemingly crazy industry. It’s even harder when you choose to stay clean,” he said.
“So if you want to help an artiste stay alive, contribute to their mental health, support them while they’re still here with whatever you have.
“Even if all you have are your kind words. You may not love their art, but you can choose to love the soul of the artist in the human being.”
Bello left Marvins Records, his former label, in 2017.
