Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, has regretted the delay in the release of the deceased singer’s autopsy results.
Mohbad died on September 12 and was buried the next day.
The circumstances of his death have continued to spark debate on social media.
The police unearthed Mohbad’s body for an autopsy on September 21, but the results have yet to be revealed.
Aloba recently stated that the wait in the results is causing his son’s “remains to suffer” in a recent interview.
He further stated that some individuals say Mohbad is appearing to them because his body was not buried.
“This autopsy is taking time. I was not aware it would take this much time, because Mohbad’s corpse should not be suffering. But we are not more powerful than the government since Nigerians said that is what they want,” he said.
“I will call the senior police officer after this interview and ask if they have taken all they need from Mohbad so the burial can be done.
“A lot of people are saying he is appearing to them, and it is because he has not been buried. We have to make preparations on how he will be buried as soon as possible.”
Aloba claimed in September that his son died after receiving an injection from an auxiliary nurse.
Feyisola Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse who injected Mohbad, was dubbed the “prime suspect” in the singer’s death on October 6.
Ogedengbe and other suspects, including Primeboy, Naira Marley, and Sam Larry, are being held by police while the inquiry into Mohbad’s death is ongoing.
A Lagos coroner court sitting in Ikorodu summoned Naira Marley, Primeboy, and Sam Larry over the singer’s death.
The coroner magistrate, Adedayi Shotibi, ordered the trio to appear in court on October 25.
