Quarterback Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs is leaving his mark both on and off the field. He has established himself as one of the most valuable NFL players off the field, but he is also pursuing a number of business ventures.
He recently made a foray into the banking industry by rising to the position of second-largest stakeholder in Tyler, Texas’ American State Bank.Mahomes has been associated with the bank since he was just sixteen years old, when he established his first account. From that time on, the bank has played a significant role in his life, both during his time as a student at Texas Tech University and during his professional career in Kansas City.
Mahomes also played a significant role in persuading Whataburger, a company based in Texas, to enter the Kansas City area. In addition, he has shares in KMO Burger LLC, a franchisee that has announced plans to build thirty Whataburger restaurants in the Kansas City region. Apart from his investing portfolio, he has endorsement agreements with companies such as CommunityAmerica Credit Union, Adidas, and State Farm Insurance.
In his most recent business venture, he agreed to serve as a spokesperson for Prime, the beverage and energy drink company that boxers Logan Paul and KSI established. Paul is well-known on social media. He now joins the ranks of famous people who have supported the energy drink, which also includes MMA fighter Alexander Volkanovski and soccer player Erling Haaland.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Mahomes will become the face of Prime’s flagship product, Hydration, meant to be a healthier alternative to products like Gatorade. Also, he will collaborate with the brand’s team across social media, special events, and charitable activations through the Mahomies Foundation among others. The company has already made a $100,000 donation to the charity.

Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes’ deal with Prime is facing backlash from fans. The fans, who to X, expressed their disappointment with the partnership with Logan Paul and KSI. “Why partner up with Logan Paul and KSI,” a fan wrote on X. “Nothing but down from here,” another wrote. “Shame. Kids who idolize you will get Hyperkalemia from drinking this shit after playing football. But congrats on the bag, Pat,” another X user posted
