Nigerian Rapper Oladips Dies at 28

The Nigerian rapper, Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji, also known as Oladips, has died.

The rapper’s management confirmed his death in a statement posted on his Instagram page on Wednesday.

Oladips died in the late hours of Tuesday, according to the announcement.

Oladips “battled within himself for over two years” before his death, according to the rapper’s management.

However, the reason of death for the 28-year-old rapper is unknown.

According to the statement, Oladips’ body is presently with his family, and burial arrangements will be revealed soon.

“We are saddened to inform the general public that Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji aka OLADIPS has passed away yesterday,” the statement reads.

“On November 14th Tuesday evening at exactly 10:14pm. We are still in shock as we speak!

“For over 2 years he has kept his battles within himself, his body is now with his family and funeral services will be announced as soon as it is concluded!

“The family asked that we respect their privacy in this trying time. May God give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss.”

Oladips was born in March 24, 1995. He hailed from Ogun state.

The rapper gained prominence after winning D’banj’s ‘King Is Here’ competition.

The win earned him a record deal with Edge records label owned by Reminisce, another rapper.
