Nigerian Singer, Burna Boy to Perform at 2024 Grammy Awards

Burna Boy has been announced as a headliner for the 2024 Grammy Awards.

The 66th Grammy Awards will be place on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

The annual event’s organisers went to X on Monday to announce that the ‘African Giant’ hitmaker will perform this year.

“African Giant @BurnaBoy will take the #GRAMMYs stage on Sunday, February 4th at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT on @CBS,” the organisers wrote.

Burna Boy will be performing alongside American heavyweights including Travis Scott and Luke Combs.

Other confirmed performers include Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, and Dua Lipa.

In November 2023, Burna Boy secured four Grammy nominations for ‘Sitting On Top of the World’ (Best Melodic Rap), ‘I Told Them’ (Best Global Music Album), ‘Alone’ (Best Global Music Performance), and ‘City Boys’ (Best African Music Performance).

Burna Boy rose to prominence in 2013 with the release of ‘Like to Party’, the lead single off his debut album ‘L.I.F.E’.

With a spate of prizes and accolades, the singer has established himself as a leading African performer.

In 2021, the artist broke a Nigerian record when his fifth album, ‘Twice As Tall,’ won the Grammy for ‘Best World Music Album’.
