Nigerian Teen Declared Guinness World Record Holder for Most Skips on One Foot

The official Guinness World Record holder for the most skips on one foot in 30 seconds is a 17-year-old student from Nigeria.

This record was set on January 24 by Philip Solomon of Oyemekun Grammar School in Akure, southwest Ondo State, who logged 153 skips on one foot in 30 seconds. This accomplishment broke the previous record, which was 145 skips, set in 2021 by Rasel Islam of Bangladesh.

Guinness World Records officially confirmed Solomon’s record on Tuesday, four months after the schoolboy’s attempt.

“Philip was inspired by the previous holder of this record title Rasel Islam after seeing a video of their record attempt,” Guinness World Records said in a statement on its website. “He has been training to achieve the record and was honoured to attend a skipping world championship.”
