Paul Okoye, a Nigerian singer, entrepreneur, and internet sensation, goes by the stage name Rudeboy. He rose to notoriety in the 2000s as a member of the P-Square duet with his identical twin brother Peter Okoye, better known as Mr P.
Early Life and Education
Paul Okoye grew up with his twin brother Peter Okoye. He was born on November 18, 1981, into a huge family in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. He was the son of Josephine Okoye and Mazi Moses Okoye and was born into the Okoye family. He is originally from Ifite in the Dunu region of Anambra State.
Paul attended St. Murumba Secondary School in Jos and afterwards studied Business Administration with his brother at the University of Abuja. Paul, popularly known as Rudeboy, joined his high school’s music and theater club and began dancing and performing renditions of MC Hammer, Bobby Brown, and Michael Jackson songs with his brother Peter.
Career
Paul ‘Rudeboy’ Okoye began his career with the music group with his twin brother, Peter Okoye. It was an acapella group inspired by Michael Jackson’s dancing moves. Their debut album, The Last Nite, was sponsored by a tobacco manufacturing corporation, and they were later nominated for a KORA Award.
In 2005, they released another album named Get Squared on the Squared Records label. The album includes the song Busy Body. This song was a huge hit both in and out of the country, and it catapulted them to prominence. Nonetheless, the P-Square combo split up in 2017, with both artists pursuing individual musical careers.
In the same year, Paul Okoye released his first solo tunes, Nkenji Kek and Fire Fire. His song, Reason With Me, received the most views on YouTube in Africa in 2019. He is the owner of Fire Department Inc, a record company he founded in 2019 following his divorce from his brother.
Personal Life
Paul ‘Rudeboy’ Okoye got married to his wife, Anita Okoye on 22 March 2014 whom he met in 2004 at the University of Abuja. The marriage is blessed with three children, Andre, and a set of twins, Nadia Okoye and Nathan Okoye.

In August 2021, his wife filed for divorce due to irreconcilable differences with him.
In December 2022, Paul Okoye flaunted his new lover.
The singer found love again one year after he divorced his ex-wife, Anita Okoye.
In several posts on his Instagram story, Paul shared the trending video with his new lover in his house and in church with him earlier today.
He wrote, “Church With my beautiful. Gratitude to God.”
The video showed the duo with big smiles as they went together to church.

However, as a solo artist, he is yet to receive any awards for his name.
