Fathia Entertainment CEO Olawale B confirmed that Yoruba star Sisi Quadri passed away immediately after his American visa was accepted.
Bolaji Amusan, president of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), confirmed Quadri’s demise on Friday.
The reason of death, however, was uncertain.
Olawale posted on Instagram that he was devastated to hear about the actor’s demise.
The performance promoter also stated that Quadri’s US visa had already been accepted, and his trip date had been set.
“So sad to hear about the death of Nollywood actor @iamsisiquadir. US visa was already approved, date fixed already. Who are we to question God?” he wrote.
The 44-year-old actor became well-known for his role in the 2004 film “Seranko Seniyan.”
He also appeared in a number of films and received several honors for his work.
He appeared in Netflix’s ‘Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre’, which premiered on Friday, March 1.
Quadri was well-known for his humorous ability to hurl insults in movies with subtlety.
