Tekno, the Nigerian artist, has rejected accusations that he earned royalties of around N1 billion from Kizz Daniel for their smash song ‘Buga’.
In May 2022, the duet released a smash song that gained popularity globally.
However, on Sunday, a site claimed that they had an interview with Tekno in which he stated that he “got featured on the song with no legal agreement”.
According to the post, the ‘Pana’ singer “said Kizz Daniel sends him 50 percent of the revenue generated from the song every month”.
According to the report, the 31-year-old “admitted to receiving almost N1 billion from Daniel after his ‘Buga’ tour”.
Replying to the post on his X page, Tekno described the interview as “fake”.
“Him money no reach. Anybody wey put out that fake interview, thunder fire your mama,” he wrote.

Tekno has established himself in the Nigerian music scene by fusing Afro-pop and Dancehall styles.
The singer has also garnered numerous prizes and accolades for his work.
Kizz In contrast, Daniel rose to prominence with his breakout song ‘Woju’ in 2015. He has also had multiple chart-topping hits.
Daniel also owns the Fly Boy Inc. record label.
