Tems, a Nigerian artist, has finally released the highly anticipated music video for her single ‘Burning’.
‘Burning’ is a track from Tems’ debut album, ‘Born In The Wild’. The release date was May 31.
Tems postponed the video’s August 2 premiere due to widespread protests caused by economic hardship and rising inflation.
“Out of respect for the on going protest at home, I have decided to postpone the release of Burning music video. Praying for the safety of those outside at this time. May the voice of the people be heard,” she had written.
In the music video, Tems highlights her musical journey as she deals with sudden fame and the intense spotlight.
Filmed in the heart of New York City, the video gives a raw and intimate look at the overwhelming emotions that come with her rapid rise to stardom.
