The late singer’s autopsy results won’t be made public for several months, according to Mohbad’s management.
Mohbad, whose birth name was Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, passed away on September 12 under strange circumstances and was buried the next day.
Exhumation of the 27-year-old pop star’s body took place on September 21.
That same day, an autopsy was conducted, and the police declared they were awaiting the results.
This was due to the controversy surrounding his death.
However, Mohbad’s autopsy results have not yet been made public, even months after the exhumation.
Actress Tonto Dikeh and musician Bella Shmurda are among the Nigerians who have made pleas for Mohbad’s body to be released so that it can be buried.
Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, had similarly bemoaned the wait for the release of his son’s autopsy results.
He said the delay is causing Mohbad’s remains “to suffer”.
However, the management stated in a statement posted on Instagram on Monday that the late singer’s autopsy results would not be made public right away.
According to the statement, the police looked into the situation. It did, however, add that it will be a “couple of months” before the autopsy results are made public.
“We know that nothing can bring Imole back, but we have cooperated with the authorities to make sure that all parties involved get clarity and closure,” the statement reads.
“The Police authorities have conducted an investigation and have communicated that the autopsy results from samples sent abroad will take a couple of months before they are shared.”
Mohbad’s management also denied the existence of a will. This was after Aloba claimed his son left a will before he died.
