Why I Am Unmarried at 54 – Actress Bimbo Akintola

Bimbo Akintola, the renowned Nigerian actress, has revealed why she remained single at the age of 54.

In a recent interview with colleague Emmanuel Ehumadu, the actress revealed that she is still unmarried due to the death of a potential life partner.

“He died… the person I could have done forever with is gone,” the film star said.

Akintola stated that she will not succumb to social pressure to marry. The actress stated that she believes in marriage but has yet to find someone with whom she can connect on the same level since the death of her soulmate.

The actress questioned the salaries of some of her coworkers.

Akintola was born on May 5, 1970 and graduated from the University of Ibadan (UI) with a degree in Theatre Arts.

She made her acting debut in 1995 in the legendary film ‘Owo Blow’, alongside Femi Adebayo, and ascended to prominence after ‘Out of Bounds’ (1997), starring Richard Mofe-Damijo.

Akintola has garnered various prizes and recognition for her abilities. She received a nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2013 Nollywood Movie Awards.

The actress earned the Best Actress award at the 2015 Eko International Film Festival for her performance in ‘Heaven’s Hell.
