Popular American DJ Khaled has expressed his desire to collaborate with Afrobeats songstress Temilade Openiyi, also known as Tems.
Tems recently received her first Grammy award, making her the first female Afrobeats artist to receive the prestigious musical honor.
She received a Grammy in the ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance’ category for her feature on Future’s ‘Wait For U’ ft. Drake at the recently concluded 65th edition of the world’s most prestigious music awards.
On Monday, viral videos showed the DJ and his wife greeting Tems and exchanging hugs.
In the video, he could be heard praising Tems, stating how he is her big a fan and how much he appreciated her work.
In a new video that captured him in an interview with ‘EXTRA’ the rapper highlighted reasons why he looks forward to working with the ‘Damages’ singer.
When asked if there was anybody he has not worked with that he’d love to work with, the popular record executive replied: “I want to work with Tems. I want to work with her. I want to do something special with her. I really want to work with her.
“I love her, I love her energy. I love what she’s about. And I love her music. And I love how pure she is, how real she is.”
“Her music comes from her heart, her soul. I love how she represents her people. You know what I mean?
“I’m a fan! So, I would love to work with Tems”, he added.
