Why Osita Chidoka Launched Mekaria Mentorship Programme

Former Aviation Minister Osita Chidoka has created an online mentorship and leadership program for Nigerian youngsters called the Mekaria Mentorship Programme (MMP) Foundation Course.

Chidoka, who is also the chancellor of the Athena Centre for Policy and Leadership, stated that the program, which has already admitted over 8,500 young Nigerians, including 700 in two days, is a method of investing in the future and the leaders who will influence the world.

He also stated that the Mekaria Mentorship Programme reflects the knowledge and counsel he acquired from his late mentor and former Minister of Transportation, Chief Ojo Maduekwe.

Chidoka’s media office issued a statement that read:

“We are excited to announce the beginning of the Mekaria Mentorship Program (MMP) Foundation Course, which was founded by Osita Chidoka, Chancellor of the Athena Centre for Policy and Leadership and former Minister of Aviation.

“This course is a beacon of hope and guidance for many and more than just a mentorship program; it is a legacy and a promise of continual growth and excellence.”

According to the announcement, as of January 25, 2024, over 8,500 people have enrolled in the mentorship program online, with over 700 mentees admitted to the online course.

“The surge in applications is overwhelming, but it demonstrates the need and significance of this course at this time.”

“Osita Chidoka’s new online course adds a distinct dimension to mentoring by incorporating social media and technology. This Mekaria Mentorship Programme serves as a forum for mentoring young Nigerians on a large scale while also providing opportunities for constructive influence.
