Zack Orji’s Wife Debunks Claim She Sought Public Help For Ailing Actor

Ngozi, the actor Zack Orji’s wife, has refuted rumors that she asked Nigerians for money to help her sick husband.

On December 29, Orji became ill and was hospitalized to the national hospital in Abuja’s critical care unit.

The first lady Remi Tinubu, the vice president’s wife Nana Shettima, and the minister of art, culture, and creative economy Hannatu Musawa paid the ill actor a visit at the hospital on Tuesday.

Musawa urged support for the movie star and hoped for Orji’s healing.

The actor was also praised by the minister for his efforts to the film industry, calling him a “national asset.”

However, there were rumors on Thursday that Orji’s wife had asked Nigerians for help while the minister was there.

Ngozi told reporters that it is “false” that she asked for public assistance for her husband.

Orji expressed curiosity about the source of the stories and mentioned that she had never agreed to an interview about her husband’s condition.

“I have not seen that. Really? I have not even had time to check. Really? For where na? Who did I tell that one? I do not remember granting interview to anybody. It is well. Please, I never said anything,” she spoke in a mixture of pidgin and English.
