Patrick Doyle, the renowned actor, has praised the singer Yemi Alade as “Nigeria’s most valuable cultural ambassador”.
In a series of Instagram photos, the film actress hailed Alade for her great performance at the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) ceremony on Saturday.
In one of the posts, Doyle referred to Alade as “Nigeria’s most significant cultural ambassador,” adding that her performance at the continental football tournament “proves it emphatically”.

In a follow-up Instagram post, Doyle described Alade as a “national treasure” who deserves a “national honour”.
“Behold, Nigeria’s most valuable cultural ambassador. Yemi Alade is nothing short of a national treasure, she deserves a national honour,” he wrote.

Before Alade’s opening performance, the singer stated that she has always wanted to attend football festivities since 2016.
She expressed gratitude for the opportunity, describing it as “a dream come true”.
Doyle started his acting career in the 1990s.
He has been featured in several Nollywood movies including ‘Man of God’, ‘Isoken’, and ‘Flower Girl’.
Doyle has also received several recognitions for his contributions to the film industry.
