Adam Abdullahi Zango is an actor, singer, director, and television host from Nigeria. He is also known as Usher or Gwaska. He has appeared in over 100 films and received numerous awards. Zango has a large number of social media followers. In terms of featured film numbers and adaptability, he has been named the world’s most popular Hausa performer. During the 2000s, he was the most prominent actor in the Hausa film industry.

Early life & Education

Adam Abdullahi Zango was born on August 1, 1985, in the Zango local government of Kaduna State, Nigeria, to Mallam Abdullahi and Hajiya Yelwa Abdullahi. Adam A Zango does not hold a university or polytechnic diploma. He considers education to be more than just receiving a diploma or certificate. He attended primary school from 1989 to 1996 and secondary school from 1996 to 2001.

Career

Adam Zango’s musical career began in secondary school, when he participated in activities such as lead days and social club events and represented his school. Zango began his career as a music composer, and later became a singer, singing numerous hit songs to date. He began his acting career in the Hausa film industry as a low-level actor in 2001, and after appearing in over 100 Hausa films and winning the Africa Movie Award in London, UK, he rose to become an international icon.

He debuted in the Hausa film ‘Surfani,’ but it was the films Kallabi,’ ‘Zabari,’ ‘Raga,’ and ‘Kawanya’ that catapulted him to fame. Ali Nuhu is Adamu Zango’s mentor and instructor. In an interview, he claimed that Nuhu taught him how to play love roles. According to the actor, Ali Nuhu sat him down and advised him on how to act in a love role on several occasions.

Adam Zango is best known in Kannywood for his love scenes with Nafisa Abdullahi. The love roles allegedly became reality as the couple was frequently seen together, though they eventually split up due to an incident.

Safiya Umar Chalawa is Adam A Zango’s current wife. Although, it was reported that Zango had been married and divorced five times before marrying Safiya. They met in Kano, and Safiya is from Gwandu, Kebbi State.

Prison

In 2007, Adam A. Zango was sentenced to prison for violating the censorship board’s law for releasing his music video album Bahaushiya without permission.
