All About The Kannywood Actress, Nafisa Abdullahi

The full name of Nafisa Abdullahi is Nafisa Abdulrahman Abdullahi. She is a Nigerian actress, producer, director, and entrepreneur. She owns two businesses and a film production company. Her professionalism in the Nigerian film industry has earned her numerous accolades. According to reports, Nafisat Abdullahi is the most awarded Kannywood actress.

Early Life and Education

Nafisa Abdullahi was born on January 23, 1991, in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. Her father is Abdulrahman Abdullahi, a wealthy car dealer and elder statesman. She is the fourth daughter of her father. Her family is from Kano, but they moved to Jos, where her father founded an automobile company.

Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdullahi and his first wife, Hajiya Zainab Abdullahi, gave birth to Nafisa Abdullahi. Despite the fact that both of her parents are late. She comes from a wealthy Hausa Muslim family. Nafisa Abdullahi has two older sisters and one older brother. Her siblings’ names are Fatima Abdullahi, Muhammad Abdullahi, and Asma’u Abdullahi.

Nafisa went to Airforce Private School in Jos before transferring to Government Girl Secondary School, Dutse, in Abuja. She also earned a degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Jos. She is currently a student at the London School of Photography, where she studies photography.


Nafisa began her acting career at the age of 19. In 2010, she landed her first significant main role in the film “Sai Wata Rana,” which was produced by FKD Productions and directed by Ali Nuhu, a Kannywood legend.

In 2012, Nafisat Abdullahi appeared in Blood and Henna, a Nigerian film directed by Kenneth Gyang. She appeared alongside celebrities such as Ali Nuhu and Sadiq Sani Sadiq. At the 9th Africa Movie Academy Awards, the film received six nominations and won Best Costume Design. Lamiraj, another popular film starring Nafisat, was also a box office success.

Aminu Saira directed both Lamiraj and Ya Daga Allah, which enabled the actress to win “Best Actress” in 2013 and her performance in the hit film “Ya Daga Allah” in 2014.

Nafisa once made headlines when she stated that she would never marry a Kannywood star, no matter who he is, because she has so many admirers.

When asked about her marriage ceremony, which was postponed a few months ago, the actress claimed she had no knowledge of it and that the date had been set for her by news websites spreading false information. The actress went on to say that she has many boyfriends and that she has already nominated one to marry if God wills, but that he is not a Kannywood actor.
