Legendary Nigerian actor, voice artist, director, producer, broadcaster, etc. Bimbo Manuel was born on October 30, 1958. He has been actively involved in the Nollywood business for more than three decades and has been in movies including “Heroes & Zeros” (2012) and “Tangoo with Me” (2010).

Early Life and Education

Bimbo was conceived on October 30, 1958, and raised in Lagos. But he once shared a home with his brother in Ibadan, Oyo State. The actor claimed to have been a wild child as a child. He attended schools in the Western Region of Nigeria, both elementary and secondary. At the University of Port Harcourt, he later earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre.

Career

His friend persuaded him to start working at a television station after he graduated with honors. His aim was to become a DJ, so he entered into showbiz by attending nightclubs and getting married. As a result, he started his career in broadcasting in 1985 at Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC). Later moving to Ogun State Television, he started his acting career in 1986. (OGTV).

At the same university where Ola Rotimi and Bimbo Manuel both majored in arts in theatre, Ola Rotimi took part in “The gods are not to blame” and the set of “Hopes of the Living Dead” during the first three months of his studies. After the global debut, he was regarded as just the second troupe to ever take on the role of the play Hopes of the Living Dead. His other cast members included Daniel Wilson, Hilda Dokubo, and Gogo.

Before Nollywood was created, Bimbo Manuel worked in the Nigerian film industry. He currently works in the modern film industry, where he has won numerous honors and been nominated for numerous more. He recently appeared in the hit TV show “King of Boys.”

He is also a well-known industry activist who pours his mind into issues besetting the movie industry.

Personal Life 

In 1998. Four children were born into their union after he wed Mojisola Manuel. In addition, Temitope Manuel, his daughter, is a writer as well.
