Joe Aribo (born July 21, 1996) is a talented professional footballer representing the Nigerian national team, Super Eagles, and plays for Southampton in the Premier League as a midfielder. His full name is Joseph Oluwaseyi Temitope Ayodele-Aribo.

Professional Career
Joe Aribo’s career began at Staines Town, and he then spent four years in the English Football League playing for Charlton Athletic. In 2021 and 2022, respectively, he won the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup after joining Rangers in 2019. During the Rangers’ championship-winning 2020–21 season, Aribo scored seven goals, including two on November 8 in an 8–0 triumph over Hamilton Academical.
In 2021–22, Aribo participated in 17 Europa League games with Rangers, who finished second. He opened the score against Eintracht Frankfurt on May 18 in the 1-1 tie that resulted in a penalty shootout loss for Rangers. In 57 games across all leagues, he took part, scoring nine goals and dishing out 10 assists.
On July 9, 2022, Aribo signed a four-year contract to join Southampton. On August 6, 2022, Aribo made his Premier League debut in Southampton’s 4-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur. Aribo scored his first goal for the team in Southampton’s 2-2 draw with Leeds United a week later.
International Career
Aribo is qualified to represent the Nigerian national team due to his parentage. He won his first cap in 2019, and he was a member of their squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. Aribo was called up by former Nigerian manager Gernot Rohr for a friendly match against Ukraine in August 2019. He scored in the fourth minute of the 2-2 draw in his professional debut on September 10 in Dnipro. On October 13, in a friendly game against Brazil, he scored the Super Eagles’ goal. Aribo took part in Tunisia’s 1-0 exit from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon as well as two group-stage triumphs.
